The Tunmise Empowerment Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 by Rashidat Busari Bada (Tunmyray) with the mission of uplifting women, children, and underserved communities through education, healthcare, vocational training, and economic empowerment programs.
Our slogan reflects our core belief that sustainable change happens through collective effort. We work to empower individuals with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to build better futures for themselves and their communities. When we work together, we all rise.
The foundation was founded by Rashidat Busari Bada, also known as Tunmyray. She is an industrialist, philanthropist, wife, and mother who established the foundation based on her firsthand experiences of the challenges faced by women and children in her community in Nigeria.
We focus on four key areas:
- Education (building schools, providing scholarships)
- Healthcare services for underserved communities
- Vocational training and skill acquisition programs
- Economic empowerment (supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs)
Our educational initiatives include renovating and supporting schools in underserved areas, providing scholarships to students who cannot afford education, supplying learning materials, and organizing educational workshops for children and adults.
We work to improve access to quality healthcare by organizing medical outreach programs, supporting local healthcare facilities with equipment and supplies, promoting preventive healthcare education, and connecting communities with healthcare professionals.
We offer various skill acquisition programs tailored to meet local needs and market demands. These include training in crafts, technology, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and other practical skills that can lead to income generation and self-sufficiency.
We support small businesses through microloans, business mentorship programs, market access facilitation, and entrepreneurship training. We believe economic independence is crucial for sustainable community development.
You can donate through our website’s donation page, where we offer various giving options including one-time and recurring donations. All contributions, regardless of size, help us create meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

We measure our impact through various metrics including the number of beneficiaries reached, program outcomes, community feedback, and long-term sustainability indicators. We conduct regular assessments to ensure our programs are making meaningful differences.
We are committed to financial transparency and responsible stewardship. Approximately 90% of donations go directly to our programs, with the remaining 10% covering essential administrative and fundraising costs. Our annual reports provide detailed breakdowns of our expenditures.
While we began our work in Nigeria, we are working to expand and serve communities across several regions. Our focus remains on areas with the greatest need for education, healthcare, and economic opportunity.
