My name is Rashidat Busari Bada, but many know me as Tunmyray — a name that has become synonymous with resilience, compassion, and empowerment. I am a wife, a mother, an industrialist, and a philanthropist, but above all, I am a woman who believes in the power of giving back and lifting others as I climb. This is my story.
Early Life and Foundation
I was born into a humble family in Nigeria, where I learned the values of hard work, perseverance, and community from a young age. My parents, though not wealthy, instilled in me the importance of education and the belief that no dream is too big to achieve. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by women and children in my community—limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. These experiences planted a seed in my heart, a desire to one day make a difference.
My journey was not without challenges. As a young girl, I faced societal expectations that often sought to limit my potential. But I was determined to break barriers and redefine what it meant to be a woman in my society. I pursued my education with zeal, knowing that it was the key to unlocking a brighter future not just for myself, but for others as well.
A Wife and Mother
Family has always been the cornerstone of my life. I am blessed to be a wife to a supportive and loving husband, who has stood by me through every step of my journey. Together, we have built a home filled with love, respect, and shared dreams. As a mother, I am deeply committed to raising my children with the same values that have guided me—integrity, compassion, and a strong sense of purpose. My family is my greatest source of strength and inspiration, and they remind me daily of why I do what I do.
The Industrialist
My professional journey has been one of determination and innovation. As an industrialist, I have ventured into various sectors, driven by a vision to create opportunities and drive economic growth. I have always believed that entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for transformation, and I have worked tirelessly to build businesses that not only generate profit but also create jobs and empower communities. Through my ventures, I have sought to challenge stereotypes and prove that women can excel in any field they choose.
The Birth of Tunmise Empowerment Foundation
While I am proud of my achievements as an industrialist, my true passion lies in giving back. In 2015, I founded the Tunmise Empowerment Foundation with a mission to uplift women, children, and underserved communities. The foundation was born out of a deep-seated belief that everyone deserves a chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
Through the foundation, we have implemented numerous initiatives aimed at providing education, healthcare, vocational training, and economic empowerment to those in need. We have built schools, provided scholarships, organized skill acquisition programs, and supported small businesses. Every project we undertake is driven by the goal of creating sustainable change and breaking the cycle of poverty.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this work is seeing the impact it has on individuals and communities. From the young girl who can now attend school to the single mother who has started her own business, these stories of transformation are what keep me going. They remind me that no effort is too small when it comes to changing lives.
